Du “NuckleDu” Dang has once again reminded the fighting game community as to why he is one of the best Street Fighter V players around.
Over the weekend, he defeated Justin “JWong” Wong in the grand finals of DreamHack Montreal to win his third premier event of the ongoing season of Capcom Pro Tour. Immediately after the concluding ceremony, the reigning Capcom Cup champion made a pledge to donate all of his winnings to the Hurricane Irma relief efforts.

The raging storm hit the northern coast of Cuba on the weekend and is currently moving northwards between Lakeland and Tampa in Florida. The strength of Hurricane Irma has reportedly dropped to category 2 but the life-threatening risk still remains.
The severe damage from nature will require contributions and donations from as many individuals as possible. The Street Fighter V premier event at DreamHack Montreal featured a $10,000 prize pot. The larger share will now go to Florida, thanks to the efforts of NuckleDu.
Street Fighter V will be a major attraction at the Tokyo Game Show (TGS 2017) later this month. A special competitive event was recently announced that invites eight of the best players from around the world for a chance at grabbing ¥1.5 million in prize money. NuckleDu will be participating, as well as the likes of Evolution Championship Series (EVO 2017) champion Hajime “Tokido” Taniguchi and runner-up Victor “Punk” Woodley.
