Destiny 2 had quite a hype following its launch as the game reached 1.2 million concurrent players. However, despite being the biggest 2017 launch in the UK, Destiny 2 sales are 58% down compared to the original. But, it is important to note that that digital sales make up a large slice of the console market and the data doesn’t include it.
Also, the game has only launched for PS4 and Xbox One as opposed to Destiny which launched for PS4, Xbox One, and legacy consoles.
Also, with many games featuring Public Test Realms(PTR) for players to try out the upcoming updates before their launch, many are wondering if Destiny 2 will feature one or not. According to game director Luke Smith, Bungie has no plans for Destiny 2 PTR but, thinks that they are amazing and intends to challenge the team without exposing it to the public.
Destiny 2 is a first-person action shooter developed by Bungie for Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 and the PC version will launch in October.
