The rumors circulating this complex franchise LA Noire have been finally confirmed. Rockstar Games will re-launch 4 different versions of LA Noire. Nintendo Switch, Playstation 4, Xbox One and VR for HTC Vive as well. The re-launch will take place on 14th November 2017.
The Switch version features the full original game, all of its DLC, and Switch-specific adjustments like optional Joy-Con gyroscopic and motion controls, as well as HD rumble, “new wide and over-the-shoulder camera angles, plus contextual touch screen controls for portable detective work,” Rockstar said. For those playing in handheld mode, new contextual touch screen controls have also been added for this edition.
The modern versions of LA Noire for PS4, Xbox One will include the original game and all the released DLC, along with new improvements such as Enhanced lights and clouds, cinematic camera angles and HD textures. The game will also support 4K on PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox One X, so there’s no need to worry about the 6 year old game will look.
Rockstar will also release its first virtual reality title based on the game, L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files, for HTC Vive. The VR title will include seven self-contained cases from the original L.A. Noire “rebuilt specifically for virtual reality.” added Rockstar.
The game still has one of the best facial animations till date. In LA Noire players take the role of detective Cole Phelps in the midst of post-World War II 1940’s Los Angeles, working as him to investigate a number of cases inspired by analogous real-world events.
The Nintendo Switch and HTC Vive VR versions of the game will give a totally new level of experience to the players where as owners of the Xbox One and PS4 will be able to play the game on 1080p resolution. LA Noire was originally released on PS3 and Xbox 360 in 2011. There was a PC version released later that year as well.
