Bethesda is working on a unannounced title, that’s due for release later this year. This was highly unexpected since according to the company’s E3 2017 showcase, all the titles that were to be released have been confirmed already. But seems there’s more than meets the eye.
Bethesda VP of marketing and PR Pete Hines, revealed to Tek Syndicate at PAX West that the company had another title coming up this year that they have not even yet announced publicly.
This happened while he was being interviewed regarding the company’s plan for 2017, while he was talking about the confirmed game titles and how there’s so many games to be released later this year, he perhaps inadvertently mentioned this unannounced title.
Hines later tried to cover his statement by denying any follow up questions from the Tek Syndicate representative, saying that he won’t tell, even though it’s a good try. Watch the interview at 2:52 he mentions ” We even have a game coming out this year that we haven’t even told anyone about yet “
Current line up from Bethesda contains Dishonored: Death Of The Outsider (15th September), The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim on Switch (Q3 2017), The Evil Within 2 (October 13th), Wolfenstein II (October 27th), plus Fallout 4 VR and Doom VFR as well.
It’s impressive to see that Bethesda has the capacity to facilitate multiple gaming projects without creating a hype multiple years prior to release of the game, unlike many other developers. They clearly know their potential, they work under tough schedules and make sure the end product is worth the wait, without a prior hype.
All the mentioned franchises like Dishonored, The Elder Scrolls, The Evil Within, Wolfenstein are all massive success including Fallout and Doom. But it’s not certain if the title will be released this year because there have been no confirmations from Bethesda. For more updates keep following SegmentNext.
