Sparrows in Destiny 2 are a means of transport in the game. Originally featured in Destiny, Sparrows let you roam around the planets in search of loot and to get to objectives faster. Thanks to Bungie, Destiny 2 Sparrows are a thing in the game. However, finding them in the sequel is not as simple as it was in the original Destiny.
If you want a TL; DR, you find Sparrows from Bright Engrams that you must bring to Tess Everis for decryption. However, as you might have guessed, there is a little RNG involved here so the decryption will not yield a Sparrow one hundred percent of the time. Alternatively, you can also buy the Sparrows from an in-game vendor by either spending real-world money or Bright Engrams.
Destiny 2 Sparrows Guide
In this Destiny 2 Sparrows Guide, we have detailed everything you need to learn about acquiring Sparrows in Destiny’s sequel.
Destiny 2 Sparrows – How to Find
Decrypting Bright Engrams to Acquire Sparrows
Bright Engrams are a new addition to Destiny 2 and are the key to acquiring Sparrows. By the time you complete the game’s campaign, you should have a handful of Bright Engrams at your disposal. However, if you think they are not sufficient, there is a way to farm these engrams.
To do so, you need to hit Level 20 and continue to level up. It is important to realize that by leveling up past Level 20, your Guardian Level will not increase but you will earn a Bright Engram every time you level up past Level 20. Alternatively, you can also buy Bright Engrams using real-world money but I do not recommend it.
Once you have farmed enough Bright Engrams, take them to Tess Everis either in The Farm or in The Tower to decrypt them. During the decryption process, pray to the gods of RNG to bless you with a Sparrow.
Sparrows-Selling Vendor in Destiny 2
Like original Destiny, the vendor that sells Sparrows in Destiny 2 is named Amanda Holliday. However, in order for her to become available, you need to be at Guardian Level 20 and complete the game’s single-player campaign. You should be able to locate Amanda Holliday in The Tower and buy Sparrows from her by either spending Bright Engrams or real-world money.
