Capcom has announced Resident Evil 7 Gold Edition for PC and current gen consoles. According to Capcom, this Special Edition will launch in December for Japan and will be available for 4,990 yen, however, the North American release date and pricing are yet unknown.
The Japanese release of Resident Evil 7 Gold Edition will include both standard and “Ages 18+” versions of the game in addition to a PlayStation 4-only physical edition which will cost 5,398 yen. This special edition will include the complete base game in addition to both volumes of the “Banned Footage” DLCs.
Resident Evil 7 Gold Edition will also include the brand new “End of Zoe” add-on which is a Zoe Baker after-story. This piece of downloadable content will be available for 1,500 yen and will launch alongside the free “Not a Hero” DLC on December 14.
Also, a Resident Evil 2 Board game is in the works. Steamforged Games has started a Kickstarter for Resident Evil 2 board game. The game will be set in the world of Resident Evil 2 and the project has been approved by Capcom. No details have been revealed regarding the Resident Evil 2 board game and the Kickstarter campaign will start in Autumn.
Also, Capcom is bringing Resident Evil Revelations and Revelations 2 to Nintendo Switchlater this year. Aside from these two titles, Capcom has not yet revealed if any other Resident Evil titles will be coming to Switch.
Earlier this year, Capcom revealed that it is working on an unannounced Resident Evil project but, didn’t reveal what it was. According to Resident Evil 7 Director Kōshi Nakanishi, while they can’t reveal anything right now but they are working on something related to Resident Evil.
Resident Evil 7 is a first-person horror survival title developed by Capcom for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
