You don’t always expect to see a trailer of a video game based on your favorite series revealed during a commercial break. That happened today though, during the airing time of the new series Kamen Rider Build, where during its commercial break Bandai Namco revealed a new action fighting game just like Dragonball Xenoverse 2 and Gundam Vs. based on the series titled Kamen Rider Climax Fighters.
Kamen Rider Climax Fighters will unfortunately be available only in Japan and only for Playstation 4 and it will have its official release date on December 7th. There is no word about a later release on the other platforms too.
Kamen Rider (Masked Rider) is a long-running tokusatsu franchise which is extremely popular in Japan and not knowing it is like not knowing Marvel in the West. The series is created by Shotaro Ishinomori in 1971 and includes 27 TV series, plus a ton of specials, theatrical movies, manga and more.
Even though we know barely nothing about its popularity it seems like the release of a game based on it is a big deal and we won’t argue about it.
The commercial trailer shows two riders clashing in a classy fighting style gameplay as we would expect for a game based on the Kamen Rider series. As the wikia page of Kamen Rider: Climax Fighters indicate:
The game will feature never seen Showa Riders, Kamen Rider Gaim, Kamen Rider Drive, Kamen Rider Ghost, Kamen Rider Amazons and Kamen Rider Ex-Aid, along with a newly introduced Kamen Rider Build as a playable character.
Of course since the series is mainly popular in Japan there is no word about a western release though the trailer shows something that we would love to play.
There will be more information about Kamen Rider Climax Fighters coming on September 9 at 8:00pm JST during a live stream dedicated to the game where we expect to see more of it’s gameplay and possibly a reveal of it’s playable characters.
