How to Cure Fatigue/Negative Traits in War of the Chosen

First of all fatigue and negative traits can be avoided if you properly rest your soldiers and do not take them on missions when they are tired, so keep an eye out on the bar below their health and always take a look at it in the post mission debrief.

In case your soldiers do develop negative traits, you can cure them by building an infirmary facility and using it to cure them. They will be out of action for quite a few days and the infirmary can only house 1 soldier at a time but it is your only option for the long term betterment of your soldiers.

Alternative Solution – Disable Fatigue through .INI XCOM 2 Files

First of all, you need to locate the DefaultGameData.ini file. It is located in:

Game Directory\XCom2-WarOfTheChosen\XComGame\Config

Now bring up the search bar by pressing Ctrl + F and then modify the following lines before you save the file:

  • WillRecoveryDays[eMentalState_Shaken]=(MinDays=0, MaxDays=0)
  • WillRecoveryDays[eMentalState_Tired]=(MinDays=0, MaxDays=0)
  • WillRecoveryDays[eMentalState_Ready]=(MinDays=0, MaxDays=0)
  • MentalStatePercents[eMentalState_Shaken]=0 ; anything less than this value is “shaken”
  • MentalStatePercents[eMentalState_Tired]=0
  • MentalStatePercents[eMentalState_Ready]=100
  • MentalStateTraitModifier[eMentalState_Shaken]=50
  • MentalStateTraitModifier[eMentalState_Tired]=25
  • MentalStateTraitModifier[eMentalState_Ready]=-50
