Yet another partnership between an upcoming video game and an energy drink has been announced, and this time it’s an Assassin’s Creed Origins partnership with Monster, another energy drink that’s widely drunk by people. Getting codes off of specially marked cans will allow people to get exclusive content and prizes in-game.
Over 500 million different cans of Monster are going to be part of the partnership with Assassin’s Creed Origins, so you might have a pretty good chance at picking one or two of them up. The partnership will run from early October to late December, so there’s going to be plenty of time for you to pick up a can and make use of its code.
The Assassin’s Creed Origins partnership with Monster will give you a few exclusive weapons in the game, such as a new scepter, the Grass Biters swords, a weapon called “Arc of the Rain” which might be a bow, and something called a “Nose Breaker”. Also included in the partnership will be various resources that you can use, including iron, wood, animal skins, or money.
Various other high-profile games have often made partnerships with energy drinks and other snacks, such as the infamous Mountain Dew and Doritos combo that comes with Call of Duty, or a recently-announced Destiny partnership that focuses on Rockstar Energy and Pop-Tarts.
While there doesn’t seem to be a food component to the Assassin’s Creed Origins partnership with Monster, one might be announced later.
So, if you want to take advantage of the partnership yourself (and actually drink Monster energy drinks), you’ll actually have a bonus to drink some of them (as long as you don’t drink too many.)
Assassin’s Creed Origins will be releasing for the Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC on October 27 of this year, so be on the lookout for it and be sure to save those Monster codes.
