A new vintage cartoony teaser popped up today for Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus and it features a main superhero and his blonde sidekick. On this teaser Blitzmensch, thunder powered superhero is fighting the enemy forces of… many weird and kinda World War II related things. His name, clearly a spelling trick of Dieter Goldblitzer, an Olympic decathlete who was struck by lightning while on a zeppelin indicates his superpowers but we have still no idea if this means something for the game’s story.
Blitzmensch seems to be the protagonist of a TV show shown at the time the game is stated in and is said to be General Engel’s favorite TV show. Frau Irene Engel is the secondary antagonist of Wolfenstein: The New Order. She will return as one of the main antagonists in Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus.
As Bethesda states:
“Blitzmensch and his partner Fräulein Fox save the world from capitalism, communism, and degenerates every day in this amazing show celebrating die Überlegenheit—the superiority—of the Reich and the Aryan race,Who will be this week’s baddie? The evil Money Grubber? The notorious Proletariat-Man? The vicious Mr. Yankee Monkey? Don’t miss a single episode of Blitzmensch!”
After Blitzmesch’s adventures on the trailer we see some gameplay footage of Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus showing the game’s guns and overall aesthetics. Wolfenstein 2 seems to be a little more vintage than it’s previous title following at the steps of Fallout 4.
On the gameplay footage we can see how the dual wielding works in the game and also a giant aligator (?). Dare we say that Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus already seems polished in aspects of graphics and gameplay and we hope that it delivers the same excitement as it does through it’s trailers.
Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus is scheduled to launch on October 27, 2017, for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. If you preorder the game you can unlock 3 additional characters, Gunslinger Joe, Agent Silent Death and Captain Wilkins to play as in the game.
