Destiny 2 Beta for PC has just gone live and these Destiny 2 Beta benchmarks should help you figure out how well your GPU will be able to run Destiny 2 Beta. The game is very well optimized for PC and it had a separate developer. You will be able to run this game at decent settings and FPS with almost any modern GPU.
We are going to see how well the game runs using different GPUs at different resolutions. The hardware used for these Destiny 2 Beta benchmarks is an Intel i7-7700K locked at 4.5 GHz, 16 GB Corsair Vengeance LPX 3200MHz, Gigabyte Aorus Gaming 7 Z270X motherboard, EVGA 1200W PSU, Kingston 1 TB SSD, NZXT X62 Kraken CPU cooler.
First, let’s take a look at how well graphics cards can handle Destiny 2 Beta at 1080p at the highest settings. From the Destiny 2 Beta benchmarks below you can see that any modern GPU can run the game at 1080p 30 FPS but in order to run the game at an average FPS of 60 you will need an RX 570 or you will need to turn down the settings.
If you turn down the settings a little bit you will be able to get a boost in FPS. You can check out the performance you will be able to get when using the High graphics preset.
As you can see, even the GTX 1050 Ti can run the game at 60 FPS with the settings turned down. The RX 560 gets close to 60 FPS as well and turning down the settings will get you 60 FPS. Moving ahead. let’s look at 1440p Destiny 2 Beta benchmarks and how GPUs handle the higher resolution.
With all settings maxed out there is no surprise that the GTX 1080 Ti comes out on top followed by the GTX 1080. You will need at least a GTX 1070 in order to run the game at 1440p 60 FPS at the max settings. The RX 580 is able to run the game at low 30 FPS. Below that the game is unplayable at these settings and resolution.
Again, turning down the settings will give you a boost in performance as you can see below. At the high preset both the GTX 1070 and the Vega 64 can achieve more than 100 FPS on average. Even the AMD RX 570 is able to run the game at 60 FPS at 1440p at the High preset.
Finally, we have Destiny 2 Beta benchmarks at 4K. It is interesting to see that even the GTX 1080 Ti cannot run the game at 60 FPS at 4K but it does come close with all settings maxed out. Keeping that in mind turning down the settings just a little bit will allow you to hit the 60 FPS sweet spot.
Turn down the settings to the High preset and even the AMD RX Vega 64 is able to reach 60 FPS at 4K. You can check out the benchmarks below.
Let us know what you think about these Destiny 2 Beta benchmarks and whether or not you are going to buy the game.
