Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle Mecha Jr. Boss – How to Defeat
The defining characteristic of the Mecha Jr. is its smasher like behavior. He is continuously moving around trying to smash whoever attacks him with his cow hammer. This means that you can use reaction abilities like Mario’s Hero Sight or Luigi’s Steely Gaze to counter his constant movement.
Perhaps the most effective strategy to employ against him is to have one hero on one corner of the map while the other on the farthest corner towards the opposite side of the first hero. This way you can take turns shooting Mecha Jr. while he will not be able to attack any one of your heroes, as he will constantly be moving back and forth between the two.
However, you still do need to be careful of Mecha Jr’s ability to use Rabbid Mario’s Magnetic Dance ability that will draw your teammates closer to him and pop them out of cover. Apart from this, he spawns sentries who chase you down. The best way to counter this is to shoot Mecha Jr. and lure him towards you and the sentries, effectively using his own ability against him.
Always remember to take down the Valkyries on either side of the boss as they have a protection aura that reduced all the damage that Mecha Jr. receives from his enemies.
