PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has been getting a lot of hype recently and it seems that GTA 5 Online is also trying to cash in on that. PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has made it to the top of Steam charts in relatively no time at all and is competing with big names like DOTA 2 as well as CS: GO.
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has become such a success that it will lead the Xbox One X lineup when the console comes out later this year. The PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds inspired mode in GTA 5 Online is called Battle Royal Adversary Mode and no matter what they try to call it, there is no denying that at its core it is PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds.
The mode allows 4-28 player to fight with one another in the last man standing style match. You can form teams as well. According to the description of the mode:
2-4 teams parachute into a post-apocalyptic warzone with nothing but a pistol and a serious shopping list
I do not know for sure whether or not this is some kind of copy right thing, we have yet to hear anything from the developers behind PUBG regarding the matter. I am sure the devs will have something to say. The description further states the following:
The streets are littered with heavy firepower and weaponised vehicles, and you better hope your decision-making is up to scratch: last team standing inherits the earth, second place is a smoking crater.
As is the case with survival games, the last man standing is the winner. You can check out the images of the mode here. If you have yet to check out PUBG and own GTA 5 Online then you can check out the new mode introduced in the latest update in order to get a taste of what all the hype is about.
