Microsoft is pretty confident about its upcoming Xbox One X, a console capable of running games at 4K resolution, however, the 4K experience can be challenging to market to those who have never experienced it but, Microsoft is quite confident that gamers will see the value of Xbox One X after looking at comparisons.
Speaking with Dualshockers at Gamescom 2017, Xbox Games marketing general manager, Aaron Greenberg, said that when Xbox One X comes to the market, players will see what 4K looks like and will be very “impressed” by it and added that lots of side by side comparisons will pop up on the internet which will also help in gamers recognizing the Xbox One X value.
When asked if Microsoft will launch such side-by-side comparisons, Greenberg said that maybe and added that they might not have to as it is already been done so much already and gamers will see the results on their own without any input from Microsoft in the press and he personally prefers it.
He revealed that Microsoft doesn’t want to take shots at the competition but, only wants the gamers to recognize the Xbox One X value and gamers to be able to decide for themselves.
While, Microsoft will not be forcing anyone to buy Xbox One X over the PS4 or PS4 Pro but, the pre-orders for the console are going strong. According to Gamespot, pre-orders have been going pretty well and is “pleased” with the consumer response to the new console.
Microsoft is also very happy with the pre-order performance. Xbox marketing general manager Aaron Greenberg revealed that response to the console has been “overwhelming” as the stock at the many of the top retailers has been sold out.
Xbox One X will be available on November 7, 2017, in the US and will be priced at $499 and will come with games such as Forza Motorsport 7, Halo 5 and more.
