Dishonored: Death Of The Outsider “Is A Finale” For The Arc That “Started With The Rat Plague And Corvo”
Dishonored: Death Of the Outsider is the next chapter in the Dishonored franchise and according to the studio, the game is the finale of the Corvo saga. Arkane Studios told Game Informer that Dishonored: The Death Of The Outsider is finale and they have currently no plans as to what will be next in the franchise.
Arkane Studios’ Harvey Smith confirmed that the studio has nothing planned after Dishonored: Death Of the Outsider. “I don’t know what’s going to happen after this. I don’t know if there will be more Dishonored games. For us, working on this arc that started with the rat plague and Corvo, this is a finale.”
Dishonored: Death Of The Outsider will be a treat for those who have played the first two games but, Arkane Studios believes that this standalone DLC will be an entry point for new comers.
According to creative director Harvey Smith, those players who have never played any Dishonored game in the past will enjoy as much as those who have and Dishonored Death Of The Outsider could be an entry point for the new comers. He added that players can just pick it up and play without knowing anything about the past.
If you’ve never played a Dishonored game, you can actually go pick up Dishonored Death of the Outsider and it could be your entry point into the series. You don’t need to know anything from before. You can pick it up, play as Billie Lurk finding her old mentor Daud and going on this almost-impossible mission to take down this supernatural godlike figure.
Dishonored Death Of The Outsider is a standalone DLC for Dishonored 2 and is scheduled to launch on September 15, 2017, for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
