Destiny 2 PC Progression Will Carry Over Across Different Regions

Developer Bungie has already confirmed that Destiny 2 PC players will have region restricted multiplayer. Which means that players from one region will play with the players from their region. EU servers won’t give access to players outside of this region and this will affects friends list as well as clans.

This means that players will be restricted to playing with and against players who choose the same region. EU with EU and NA with NA. This isn’t something new and many games use the same restrictions but allow players to change their region, just like Destiny 2 does.

However, soon after news broke that restrictions are implemented to regions, players took to social media to raise their concerns over progression. Some were worried that progression would be lost if they change their servers. Bungie saw the posts by fans and finally decided to put our minds at ease. According to Bungie, progression will carry over to different regions and is not restricted to the region you normally play on. Bungie stated that players will have “one set of characters that you can play in both NA and EU regions.”
