Bungie has revealed six Destiny 2 subclasses so far but, reportedly there will be a total of 9 Destiny 2 subclasses at launch and as reported by PCGamesN, they have proof of it too. However, Bungie, on the other hand, is quite silent on this subject.
According to the report, the proof that there will be nine Destiny 2 subclasses comes from the Destiny 2 coverages from Polygon and GameInformer. According to the report, Polygon found a ‘Fractured Arrow’ in a chest in the Lost Sector.
The report suggests that the UI categories the ‘Fractured Arrow’ as a Hunter Relic and is marked with a void elemental icon and a HUD notification says “you have found an object filled with lost power.”
The second proof comes from GameInformer who found a ‘Cracked Talisman’ from a Regional chest. These are special chests that players will find in the wild and the Talisman is described as a Warlock Relic and marked with the Arc icon.
In the same run, Warlock subclass quest was also revealed. According to the report, “Arc Light Stirring’ is tracked in a new ‘Milestones’ sidebar, and the brief reads “rekindle your lost abilities by defeating enemies and fighting alongside fellow Guardians in public events.” The Arc subclass is listed as the reward.”
The report notes that there is Arc subclass for the Warlock in Destiny 2 and while Polygon didn’t show it but, Fractured Arrow has a functionality equal to that of Cracked Talisman.
Including these make up 8 Destiny 2 subclasses but, the site notes that a third Titan subclass would be unlikely to be left out when it is present for the other two.
In related news, Bungie has revealed that Destiny 2 could run at 60 FPS on consoles and also explained that it won’t do it because that would require compromises.
Destiny 2 is a first-person action shooter in development at Bungie and is scheduled to launch this fall for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
