The Call of Duty: WW2 PS4 beta is now live, allowing Playstation 4 owners that pre-ordered the game and have codes to access the beta. The beta period will run from today, August 24, to Monday, August 28. Players will be able to unlock a few items and play on several multiplayer maps.
This is also only the first beta that will be held on the Playstation 4 for Call of Duty: WW2. Next weekend, from September 1 to September 4, there will be another beta for the Playstation 4 and the Xbox One, both of which will also only be open to people that have pre-ordered the game.
In order to access the Call of Duty: WW2 PS4 beta, players will have to make use of the code that they received when pre-ordering the game, either from the one they were emailed when they got the game digitally, or from their retailer if they pre-ordered a physical copy of the game.
If you end up playing the beta, you’ll have plenty of stuff that can probably fill your weekend with Call of Duty, including four different game modes on a trio of different maps, in modes ranging from Team Deathmatch to the 12-on-12 game type “War”. Players will be given the ability to level their characters up to Level 20, though there’s no telling if that progress will carry over.
If you didn’t pre-order the game and thus can’t participate in the Call of Duty: WW2 PS4 beta, all you have to do is either wait for the Xbox One beta to come out next weekend, or buy it when it comes out on November 3 for the Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC. There will also be a PC beta that will be coming out sometime in the next few months, but Sledgehammer hasn’t revealed the exact dates.
