Since it’s going to be coming out soon, finally, Studio Wildcard has released the Ark Survival Evolved launch trailer, showing off a huge number of the different things that you can do in one of the quintessential survival simulators. The game will be releasing on August 29 for Xbox, PS4, and PC.
Ark: Survival Evolved has players take on the roll of humans that are abducted by aliens and placed on an isolated world inhabited by numerous prehistoric life forms. There they must work their way up the tech tree to survive, making weapons, building structures, taming animals, and defending themselves against various threats.
This means players can go from using bows and spears to futuristic power armor, laser guns, and backpacks, armoring dinosaurs and having horse races while attacking other tribes with fighting castles put on the backs of brontosaurus.
As shown in the Ark Survival Evolved launch trailer, players can also do things like build an underwater base, do horse races complete with fireworks for the winner, build towns and cities, and so much more.
What makes it even better, the game is going to continue being supported in the future, meaning that we’ll be getting more beasts to tame and more things to craft. There’s even the possibility of taming an otter, allowing you to send it underwater to grab valuable materials and diamonds off the ocean floor.
As players progress along the tech tree and explore the game’s world, they’ll find out exactly why they woke up here, why the world is inhabited by dinosaurs, and what exactly that diamond-shaped implant in their arms is.
The game will be getting a full release on the Xbox One, the Playstation 4, and multiple PC platforms including Windows, Mac OSX, and Linux. To see the Ark Survival Evolved launch trailer for yourself, just look further up the article.
