2K Games, who develop games like the NBA 2K series and the WWE 2K series, are starting to unveil the dozens of different wrestlers who will be a part of the WWE 2K18 roster. Last week they unveiled 47 of them, this week they’re unveiling 37 more. Two more reveals are coming.
Considering how many different wrestlers that there are in the WWE, there are likely going to be just as many in WWE 2K18. However, since the last game came out, there’s even going to be a number of well-known names from the WWE that have either since died or retired. For instance the Undertaker, one of the most recognizable and iconic wrestlers of the WWE, retired back in April.
However, previous wrestling games have also had numerous other long-dead or retired wrestlers as part of their lineups, such as WWE All-Stars, which had wrestlers such as Andre the Giant, who died back in 1993 at the age of 46. While it’s unlikely that he’ll be part of 2K18, it’s not out of the realm of impossibility that some WWE wrestlers that are long-gone will be accessible. You might even be able to make them in the game’s character creator.
Various wrestlers that are part of the WWE 2K18 roster include wrestlers like AJ Styles, Brock Lesnar, the Rock, Randy Orton, Triple H, The Miz, British Bulldog, Bret Hart, Kurt Angle, Roman Reigns, Kevin Von Erich (who retired from the WWE in 1995), Eddie Guerrero, Shinsuke Nakamura, and JOHN CENA! *trumpets*.
And these are only two sections of the roster. We’ll be seeing two more big reveals in the coming two weeks, and hopefully we’ll see even more superstars that haven’t been seen in the ring for a while.
To see more of the WWE 2K18 roster as it’s revealed, keep a watch on IGN every week to see the other two reveals. WWE 2K18 will be releasing on October 17 for the Xbox One, Playstation 4, and Nintendo Switch.
