The Surge launched earlier this year with critical acclaim and also took advantage of PS4 Pro and now Deck 13 will be bringing the game to Xbox One X. The Surge is the latest addition to the ever growing list of enhanced games for the upcoming Xbox One X.

Speaking with Dualshockers, head of game design Adam Hetenyi confirmed that The Surge will be enhanced for Xbox One X. He added that the team is already working on enhancing the game for the console and if everything goes to plan, then the update for Xbox One X will roll out at the same time as the upcoming DLC “A Walk in the Park” later this year.

He also talked about if The Surge would make it to the Nintendo’s hybrid console, Nintendo Switch or not. According to Adam, while the team has thought about the possibility but, Switch port of the game is not the studio’s plans.

He added that it would be “very very very difficult” to run The Surge well enough on Switch and to run the game smoothly, it would have to be downgraded and the team doesn’t find both of these options appealing.

However, he noted that it is not a hard no if there is enough demand then things could change.

Rise Of The Tomb Raider is another title that will be enhanced for Xbox One X. Rise Of The Tomb Raider will be enhanced by Nixxes Software that will take full advantage of the console’s power.

The game will feature smooth frame rate along with HDR, Dolby Atmos for true 3D audio, “enhanced texture resolution for Lara Croft, NPCs, and environments, leveraging additional memory offered by the Xbox One X”, improved anti-aliasing and other enhancements.

Xbox One X will launch on November 7, 2017, and will be priced at $499 in the US.
