If you’ve pre-ordered Call of Duty: WW2 for the Playstation 4, then you’re in luck. You should now be able to pre-load the Call of Duty: WW2 beta for your console, which is only available to people that pre-order the game. The beta will run from this Friday to Monday.
However, this beta is only going to be for the Playstation 4 for now. A second beta is going to be held next week from September 1 to September 4, but this one will be not just for pre-order owners on the Playstation 4 but on the Xbox One as well.
We’ve already gotten a little bit of gameplay footage about what Call of Duty: WW2 is going to look like via an IGN video that was posted yesterday. The video showed off the game’s War Mode, which will feature in the beta. In that mode, players fight in two teams of 12 to accomplish a series of objectives.
However, there will be things missing from the betas, for instance a good amount of unlockable items and weapons. Pre-order buyers also won’t be able to access the game’s Headquarters area, a multiplayer social space where players can participate in target practice, practice use of their scorestreak abilities, and can hook up with friends.
In order to access the Call of Duty: WW2 beta, players should have gotten a code with their pre-order confirmation that they have to enter on the Playstation Store, which will allow them access to the game. The same process will likely happen when the next beta rolls around at the start of September.
Remember, the Call of Duty: WW2 beta is only available to people that have pre-ordered the game on both the Xbox One and Playstation 4. The actual game will be releasing on November 3 of this year on the Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC.
