FIFA 18 will launch for Nintendo Switch next month and EA has confirmed FIFA 18 resolution and FPS on Switch while docked and in the handheld mode. EA revealed the resolution for both docked and handheld mode during an interview with Nintendo Everything at Gamescom 2017.
While the FIFA 18 resolution and FPS will be 1080/60 FPS on Nintendo Switch while docked, the game will run at 720/60 FPS in the handheld mode. “In dock, what we’re seeing right now, for example, is 1080p run running at 60 frames per second When you plug out and you play in handheld it’s 720p”.
While the game will launch for Nintendo Switch along with PC and current gen consoles but, EA has confirmed that the Switch version will not include the single player campaign and also will not be developed on Frostbite Engine.
Switch version will be developed on a different game engine from the PS4, Xbox One, and PC version as EA has revealed that Frostbite engine will be exclusive to PC, Xbox One, and PS4 versions.
Also, The FIFA 18 early access beta players have found a way to know if the player they got from FIFA Ultimate pack is a walk out player or not.
According to the gamers, if there is a flash of light before the pack opening animation starts, the player you will get from FIFA Ultimate Team pack will not be a walk out player. On the other hand, if there is a smoother transition and no flash of light then it is guaranteed that the player you got is a walk out star.
FIFA 18 is a sports game in development at EA and will launch on September 29, 2017, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
