Ubisoft Reveals Full Assassin’s Creed Origins Map Showcasing The Vast Egyptian Landscape

After a gap year, the Assassin’s Creed franchise is ready to make a return with Assassin’s Creed Origins and everything is known about the game so far speaks positively. To hype now goes up even further as Ubisoft has released the full Assassin’s Creed Origins map, showcasing different areas of the massive game world.

The Assassin’s Creed Origins map reveal was done during Gamescom and the detailed map shows each and every accessible area of the map and how they differ from each other, ranging from deserts of Egypt to lush green lands along the river.

Judging from what is shown, not only is the map considerably bigger than Black Flag, the previous game on which this same studio worked on, but also has diverse locations.

Alongside the Assassin’s Creed Origins map reveal, game director Ashraf Ismail also confirmed that the armor and loot players find in the game world will not only have a statistical impact on Bayek but also change his appearance. Everything shown so far points to huge genre shift for the franchise, turning it into more of an action RPG with a loot system, skills, and character progression.

On top of that, the combat system has also been revamped considerably to allow for a variety of combat styles instead of the usual “wait for counter” approach that was prevalent in previous games.

Ubisoft’s presence at Gamescom has also resulted in the release of a number of new gameplay information as well as two different trailers for the game, including one that showcases some of the famous historical characters Bayek will encounter including Cleopatra and Julius Caesar.

Assassin’s Creed Origins is set to launch on 27th October for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Ubisoft has also assured that the PC version will not be neglected at all in terms of polish and will feel like as if it was developed for the platform instead of just a simple port.
