PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds to Lead Xbox One X Fall Line Up

Xbox One X was shown at E3 2017 alongside a number of new and older enhanced games for the system. Microsoft’s Fall line-up is looking good even without its explosive big name IPs like Halo and Gears of War. According to Mike Ybarra, they do not need their major AAA IPs for every console release.

Still, for Xbox One X the games line-up is led by the biggest game in the world right now, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. Speaking in a recent interview, Mike Ybarra stated that PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is showing numbers like Bethesda games and growth like Rockstar titles.

In the next 6 months, there are a diverse lineup of games releasing on Xbox One X. The console is backward compatible and can play all Xbox One games. However, Microsoft still considers Xbox One S to lead the sales this holiday season. Microsoft believes that Xbox One X is for the hardcore Xbox fans who want the best possible version of the games they play.

when I think about now through the end of December we have the biggest game in the world right now on our console – that’s PUBG. It’s funny, to me, and I play a lot of that game, to me people aren’t really recognising that game as the game it is. Eight million copies in four months. That’s like Bethesda, Blizzard type numbers. Maybe Rockstar-type velocity. It’s the world’s biggest game right now and it’s on the console. Forza 7, if you want to play racing games you’ll do it on Xbox, between Forza Horizon and Forza Motorsport, it is the place for racing.

Xbox One X is releasing in November for $499, pre orders for the console are now live.
