Ubisoft has already confirmed that Assassin’s Creed Origins will feature multiple protagonists but, no details were revealed about these playable characters. Now, Ubisoft has revealed the identity of the second playable character in Assassin’s Creed Origins.
Game director Ashraf Ismail told Game Informer that Bayek’s wife, Aya, will be playable in particular missions, however, he described her involvement in the game will not be as a secondary protagonist in the game like EVE Frye in Assassin’s Creed Syndicate.
He also added that there will be other playable characters in Assassin’s Creed Origins but, Ubisoft is not in the mood to reveal them right now.
Also, Ubisoft has assured that the PC version of Assasin’s Creed Origins will not suffer like the past entries in the franchise. According to game director Ashraf Ismail, the studio is putting a lot of work in the PC version of the upcoming Assassin’s Creed.
Also, Ubisoft has confirmed that Tombs are returning in Assassin’s Creed Origins and this time the tombs will be based on real world tombs. Creative director Ashraf Ismail confirmed that Assassin’s Creed Origins will feature tombs that will feature a mix of puzzles and platforming, just like in Assassin’s Creed 2.
So we put a lot of effort into recreating these tombs. Everything that is actually known we’ve mapped it out, we have images, we have research that’s been done on tombs, we actually try to replicate it as close as possible. So for example, the Greek pyramid, all the chambers, all the corridors are an authentic representation. Now, of course, we have a bit of fun and go a bit further, like, what are the secret chambers that have not been discovered yet?
Assassin’s Creed Origins is an upcoming action RPG in development at Ubisoft and is scheduled to launch on October 27, 2017, for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
