Samsung QLED Gaming Monitor Revealed at Gamescom 2017
Samsung QLED Gaming Monitor has been launched at Gamescom 2017 by Samsung. The company claims it to be world’s largest QLED gaming monitor. This curve screen monitor is 49 inches diagonal and it’s super wide at a ratio of 32:9.
The company claims Samsung QLED Gaming Monitor to provide users with IMAX style immersive experience.The goal is not only to play games at super-wide field-of-view but to also multitask workloads of multiple windows on the same screen.
Instead of using multiple monitors with bezel issues, Samsung QLED Gaming Monitor gives a screen wide enough to equate two 16:9 ratio 27-inch monitors. With a resolution of 3840 x 1080 pixels and a curve of 1800R.
The CHG90 supports a maximum of 144Hz refresh rate but it can also work on 60Hz to 120Hz. Samsung didn’t mention if the monitor supports FreeSync / Adaptive Sync yet, but since it’s a gaming monitor with 1ms response time this adaptive refresh rate feature may be supported in the future.
The Quantum Dot (QD) technology with OLED, enables Samsung QLED Gaming Monitor to enable HDR and produce real life like vibrant appealing rich colors. Samsung’s easy control settings allow segregating multiple pictures in the monitor connected to different displays ports. CHG90 provides 2x HDMI and 1x DP and it also sports audio out ports.
The CHG90 is crafted with an appealing design. It has a matte black body on top of a circle stand – a simplistic design that eliminates distractions, allowing gamers to be fully immersed in the game. The monitor is designed to support features like height adjustments, swivel, tilt, a hinge with a superlative ergonomic design and VESA mounting.
Samsung QLED Gaming Monitor will be available throughout Europe following Gamescom 2017. Prices have not been revealed yet but these monitors will not be affordable by everyone.
