With the growing list of enhanced titles for Xbox One X, Square Enix has detailed the enhancements for the critically acclaimed Rise Of The Tomb Raider for the upcoming console. According to Square Enix, Rise Of The Tomb Raider will run at native 4K on Xbox One X with additional enhancements in place.
The Xbox One X port of Rise Of The Tomb Raider will be handled by Nixxes Software that will take full advantage of the console’s power. Players will be able to choose from different resolutions including the native 4K, visuals will be enhanced for “stunning graphic upgrades”.
Rise Of The Tomb Raider will also feature smooth frame rate along with HDR, Dolby Atmos for true 3D audio, “enhanced texture resolution for Lara Croft, NPCs, and environments, leveraging additional memory offered by the Xbox One X”, and improved anti-aliasing.
Other enhancements include improved volumetric lighting, improved reflections, enhanced foliage, upgraded polygonal detail, and amplified texture filtering.
Dark Horse has announced Tomb Raider comic miniseries titled “Survivor’s Crusade”. The comic series will revolve around Lara investigating her father’s untimely death, will arrive this fall. The comic might be set right after Rise Of The Tomb Raider as Lara learned that her father was possibly killed at the end of it.
Also, a Tomb Raider movie is in the works. Alicia Vikander is playing Lara Croft in the upcoming Tomb Raider movie and according to her, the movie is sticking pretty close to the 2013 Tomb Raider game.
