Attack On Titan 2 Announced By Koei Tecmo, Coming Early 2018
Attack On Titan is a popular manga which has already spawned a game in 2016 and now Koei Tecmo has announced the sequel “Attack On Titan 2”. The sequel to Attack On Titan will launch sometime in 2018 and Koei Tecmo is yet to announce platforms for Attack On Titan 2.
Koei Tecmo has also rolled out a new teaser trailer for the upcoming Attack On Titan 2. The game will follow the events of the 2016’s Attack On Titan game and is in development at Omega Force, known for developing the Dynasty Warriors titles.
Building on the fast-paced action the series is famous for, and featuring an abundance of new gameplay mechanics, the gripping sequel will be released across America as Attack on Titan 2 in Early 2018. Players will once again don the renowned Omni-Directional Maneuver Gear as they fight and repel the fearsome Titans that threaten humanity, to restore peace within the walls.
Koei Tecmo has also revealed some screenshots for the game and by the looks of it, it seems that the game will take place during the second season of the Manga on which the game is based on. Check out the screenshots below.
Extinction is another game in development that is being compared to Attack On Titan and is also slated for 2018 release window. However, according to developer Iron Galaxy, Extinction has nothing in common with Attack On Titan.
The inspiration for Extinction was always to recreate the classic David vs. Goliath experience in real time, skill-based combat. Although we’re flattered by the comparisons to Attack on Titan, we’re not deliberately taking anything from that franchise, and as time goes on we believe the differences between the franchises will become clearer and clearer.
It is yet unknown on which platforms Attack On Titan 2 will launch but, Koei Tecmo has assured that more info will be revealed in the future.
