David Beckham Confirmed For PES 2018 With New Trailer

By   /   Aug 19, 2017

PES 2018 is just a month away from launch and Konami has geared up its efforts to market the game. PES 2018 will be competing with FIFA 18 which means the game has to offer what the competition doesn’t have and Konami has announced David Beckham for the upcoming game with a new trailer.

Konami has rolled out a new trailer for PES 2018 showcasing David Beckham performing his signature moves in the game. The trailer is a brief one and doesn’t give much about the game or David Beckham but, given that PES 2018 will be playable at Gamescom 2017 we are optimistic that players will be able to choose Beckham.

PES 2018 will not only be playable at Gamescom but, Konami has confirmed that it will also be showing the REAL Capture system. The REAL Capture system for the upcoming title gives realistic lighting for both day and night matches. Gamescom 2017 will be held in Cologne, Germany and will start on August 22 and will continue till August 26.

Also, Konami has confirmed that Luis Suarez is the cover star for the upcoming PES 2018. Suarez said that he is honored to be the cover star for the game and praised the franchise for improving with every new iteration every year.

I’m a big fan of PES, so it’s a real honour for me to be on this year’s cover. Every year this game gets better and better and the work put into making PES 2018 really shows. I can’t believe how real, and lifelike I look in this year’s game. It’s simply amazing.

Furthermore, a report has emerged on the internet suggesting that a popular player as a cover star can boost the sales for the title up to 10%. The report comes from Joost van Dreunen, CEO of market researcher SuperData.

PES 2018 is a soccer simulation game in development at Konami and is scheduled to launch on September 12, 2017, for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
