AMD RX Vega 64 price has been listed in Singapore for S$999 for the air cooled version while consumers will have to pay S$1149 for the liquid cooled version. If you are interested in buying of these GPUs then you can buy one from PC Themes. This is the only local retailer that is keeping AMD Vega stock, as of writing this article.
Seeing how the MSRP of the air cooled version is US$499. It is hard to justify why the price difference is so drastic. Even adding the taxes and all, it does not add up. If you are interested in buying one of these GPUs then you will be paying a lot more for the chance to have a Vega GPU. Even though prices might drop with the passage of time, it is highly unlikely.
The problem might be with the high-demand and short supply. AMD has already talked about the AMD RX Vega 64 GPUs being sold out. AMD also talked about the high prices that retailers are selling the GPUs for. You can click here to learn about the custom version of the AMD RX Vega 64 from Asus. According to AMD:
“Radeon RX Vega 64 demand continues to exceed expectations. AMD is working closely with its partners to address this demand. Our initial launch quantities included standalone Radeon RX Vega64 at SEP of $499, Radeon RX Vega 64 Black Packs at SEP of $599, and Radeon RX Vega 64 Aqua Packs at SEP of $699. We are working with our partners to restock all SKUs of Radeon RX Vega 64 including the standalone cards and Gamer Packs over the next few weeks, and you should expect quantities of Vega to start arriving in the coming days.”
You can also order one of these GPUs from Newegg but that will not be considered local and the GPU will be shipped in and there will be costs added to the price. The list price is S$941 for the air cooled version but with shipping and taxes included this adds up to more than S$1000.
