Fan Recreates The Witcher 3 Killing Monsters Cinematic Trailer in MS Paint
The Witcher 3 took the gaming world by storm and is hailed by many as the best RPG to ever released. One fan took their dedication a step further and ended up creating The Witcher 3 MS Paint trailer which converts the entire Killing Monsters cinematic trailer into a doodle based video.
With Microsoft shutting down MS Paint later this year, there has been a surge of game trailers being recreated in the popular and yet simple drawing software as ways of paying homage to the software and the games itself. The same person who made the Witcher 3 MS Paint trailer also recreated the Battlefield 1 trailer a few months ago.
Of course, the software isn’t an animation software which is why the trailer has a stop-motion quality to it but that makes the Witcher 3 MS Paint trailer even more hilarious and praiseworthy. It seems like the creator Kubstoff either has way too much time on their hands or simply loves the game a lot.
While not a common tradition among AAA games, CDPR’s support to The Witcher 3’s fan content has been inspiring. Not only is the game flexible enough to allow a lot of fans made mods, the developers aren’t stingy enough to shut down those mods. A recent Witcher 3 mod turns the game into a first person experience giving the whole monster slaying world a great new perspective and creates a unique playing experience.
Thanks to the developer’s dedication to the game and its fan base, despite being released two years ago, the game still manages to sell a lot across all platforms. In fact, the sales figure so far have been better in 2017 as compared to the number of units sold in 2016. With the release of CDPR’s Cyberpunk 2077, it is possible that even these figures might pale in comparison to the sci-fi game is than Witcher 3.
