While no official date regarding a FIFA 18 demo has been announced yet, EA did confirm that the game will be playable on PS4 at the Isomnia61 festival in UK next week which should lift the spirits of fans of the game, at least those interested in the PS4 version.
An official statement released from Insomnia61 festival organizers also hints that the FIFA 18 demo will be playable on PS4, alongside a number of other PS4 exclusives such as Gran Turismo Sport and Uncharted The Lost Legacy.
PlayStation has confirmed it will be showcasing the top upcoming titles at Insomnia61, the UK’s biggest gaming festival, this August bank holiday at Birmingham’s NEC, among the titles available to play for the very first time, ahead of their UK launch, is the much-anticipated FIFA 18 from EA SPORTS, available on PlayStation.
As mentioned above, there is currently no fixed date for the full FIFA 18 demo available to all users but the demo is expected to launch sometime around 15th September, two weeks before the game’s 29th September multi-platform release, which also includes the Nintendo Switch version.
While the game will be releasing on the latest handheld hybrid console from Nintendo, this version of the game will not contain the singleplayer story mode and will also not be built on the Frostbite 3 engine which powers most EA games these days.
Thanks to the power of the Frostbite engine, FIFA 18 will feature some of the best crowd physics and reactions in the franchise. How this affects the Switch version of the game remains to be seen.
Earlier this month, EA also revealed the FIFA 18 Ultimate Team cover ambassadors which are Antoine Girezmann, Dele Alli and Thoma Muller. The soundtrack for the game was also leaked recently and as can be expected from a FIFA game, it features some pretty amazing tracks.
