A new NBA 2K18 blog has been posted to Facebook by 2K Sports, talking about the various ways that the gameplay has changed for the latest entry in the NBA 2K series. 2K Sports goes into pretty great detail, talking about everything from your skills to the game’s feel.
NBA 2K18 will be the latest entry in the NBA 2K series, the most well-known and popular NBA game. 2K has attempted to outdo itself with the development on this game, aiming on upgrading the gameplay to get rid of some of the more frustrating aspects of play.
For instance, the NBA 2K18 blog says that one of the first things that 2K Sports worked on was movement and how it felt. 2K will be improving the animation so that it would actually be consistent with movements, rather than have someone jerk forward because they got a better animation start than someone else. With the animation adjustments 2K can now control how a player turns, runs, walks, sprints, and more.
Players will also have to rely less on the game’s shot-making algorithm to sink shots, meaning that you’ll actually have to practice and work for your skills so that 2K can reduce the stick skill gap that 2K17 devolved into, which kept new players from being able to keep up with players that had been going for longer.
Various new passing features, skill packages that you could equip onto various players, and a counter to steal-spamming will hopefully make NBA 2K18 more fun to play when it releases.
