Missing Hearthstone Cards Will Be Fixed for Arena This Week

Blizzard has officially confirmed that the Arena is bugged for Hearthstone since the release of Knights of the Frozen Throne last week.

In the current state of the game, there are twelve cards from the new expansion pack that are not available in the specific game mode. This has caused quite a stir since some of the missing cards are important to incur potential synergies with the remaining deck.

The following are the cards that do not show up during the drafting phase of Arena in Hearthstone:

Common

  • Spellweaver
  • Hyldnir Frostrider
  • Howlfiend
  • Grave Shambler

Rare

  • Shadowblade

Epic

  • Blackguard

Legendary

  • Arfus
  • Bolvar, Fireblood
  • Prince Keleseth
  • Prince Taldaram
  • Prince Valanar
  • Sindragos

Posting on Reddit, the developer stated that the issue is not by design. “Usually the changes that happen this late are rarity changes or word spacing changes to make the text boxes look a bit better,” reads the explanation.

The bug has been fixed internally and should be released for Hearthstone sometime this week with a server maintenance patch.

Earlier this month, Blizzard made a slight adjustment to the Arena in order to make sure that “the first two sets of cards in a draft are more likely to include synergy-based cards.” The minor tweak somehow upset the system of Hearthstone, making the cards ineligible for the mode altogether.
