Shadow Of War: Devs Explain Why Shelob Takes A Central Role In The Game
Shadow Of War is one of the most anticipated games to launch this year and fans are excited about the game. Recently, Monolith Productions revealed Shelob in a trailer, who is a giant spider in Lord Of Rings, as a woman and it is safe to say that it raised some eyebrows. Now, Monolith Productions has explained why they chose to make Shelob a woman and why she takes a central role.
Speaking with Eurogamer, Monolith’s creative vice president Michael de Plater explained the team’s inspiration behind making Shelob a central character in the upcoming Shadow Of War and why they made her a woman. According to Michael, the team did this because it fits her evil characteristics.
hat differentiates Shelob is that she’s completely honest.. So she’s evil, or perceived as evil, but she has this honesty to her, and so as we started thinking through that and thinking of her as this dark mirror to Galadriel and filling that role in our story of that narrator and what that would look like.
In related news, BAFTA nominated, Garry Schyman, has confirmed that he is returning to compose music for the upcoming game. He revealed that he is excited to be working on the upcoming game and believes that his work will enhance the game’s experience.
