Nvidia Volta For Gaming In The Works But Wont Be Coming Out This Holiday Season

Nvidia Volta is the next architecture from Nvidia that will be replacing Pascal. While we have seen Nvidia Volta based GPUs, none of them are for the gaming community. They are for professionals. There has been a lot of hype surrounding Nvidia Volta gaming GPUs and here we have an update from the CEO of Nvidia regarding Nvidia Volta.

Nvidia Volta will be based on the 12 nm process and will offer a significant performance boost over Nvidia Pascal. There is no clear indication regarding when we will be able to see Nvidia Volta based gaming GPUs in the market but Nvidia CEO has provided an update regarding the upcoming GPUs.

According to him, Volta gaming GPUs are in the works and there is some new tech that people should be looking out for but the Nvidia Volta GPUs will not be coming out this holiday season. The CEO is confident that Pascal will be an unbeatable offering for this year. Here is what he has to say:

“Volta for gaming, we haven’t announced anything. And all I can say is that our pipeline is filled with some exciting new toys for the gamers, and we have some really exciting new technology to offer them in the pipeline. But for the holiday season for the foreseeable future, I think Pascal is just unbeatable”.

AMD Vega GPUs have just come out and there is some confusion regarding the MSRP of the GPUs. It seems that the MSRP that we were told is just a launch price and the actual MSRP is higher.
