Game Of Thrones is the juggernaut among all the TV series and the popularity of this show has got it into trouble with hackers. Recently, an episode of Game Of Thornes was leaked days ahead of its official airing date and according to a report, the alleged leakers have been arrested.
According to a report from Variety, four people were arrested in India in connection with the theft of a Season 7 Game of Thrones episode. Local authorities have arrested and charged these four alleged hackers with criminal breach of trust and computer-related offenses.
According to the report, all four of them are former employees of Prime Focus who had access to Game Of Thrones episodes. The report suggests that links for the leaked Game Of Thrones episode started to show up Reddit on August 4. While the post was removed shortly after but, the episode was ripped in low quality and began circulating on the internet.
According to Star India, this is the first leak in the history of the company and believes in intellectual property rights.
