Ubisoft has been supporting Rainbow Six Siege with new content including maps and operators and it seems that the devs are not going to stop supporting the game anytime soon as Ubiosft has announced new map and operators coming later this month.
Ubisoft has announced Rainbow Six Siege will be getting a new map and three new operators on August 29, 2017. The three new operators for the game include two Hong Kong operators and one Poland operator. These operators will be available for season pass holders on August 29 and the rest will get them on September 5.
The new map for the game is the second map of the year two content for the game. No details were revealed about the map except that it will be a Hong Kong map. The update “The Operation Blood Orchid” for Rainbow Six Siege will be revealed at Gamescom on 26th August.
In related news, recently, Ubisoft noted that the goal of the initiative “Operation Health” as it is reaching its final stages. Ubisoft has listed three more aspects of Rainbow Six Siege that will be addressed in the remainder of Operation Health which include upgraded servers, peer to peer removal and LAN Mode on PS4.
Also, Rainbow Six Siege console community has been asking Ubisoft to ban mouse and keyboard on the consoles. However, the issue not as easy to resolve as one might think and Ubisoft has noted that it can’t ban these peripherals on consoles.
Responding to a thread on the official forums, the developer stated that “there is nothing further that can be done” apart from already disabling native support for peripherals.
Blizzard Entertainment also faced this same issue from Overwatch’s consoles community and their response was also similar, stating that it is unable to do so without directly involving the console manufacturers.
Rainbow Six Siege is a tactical first-person multiplayer shooter developed by Ubisoft for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
