Ubiosft skipped Assassin’s Creed last year to breathe new life into the Assassin’s Creed franchise and it shows in the upcoming Assasin’s Creed Origins. Ubisoft has revealed that Assassin’s Creed Origins will feature high-quality optional content and that has been only possible because the development team has an extra year to do so.

In the September issue of PC Gamer, game director Jean Guesdo explained that the extra year has allowed the development team to ensure the high-quality of the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Origins and also explained why the studio went away from the naval battles of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag to feature an entire country.

When we started the game three-and-a-half years ago, we wanted it to be global, to be full, so this is why we aim for a fully seamless entire country now. We touched a bit on that with Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, this sense of massive scale and total freedom, and we wanted to bring that on land, for the very first time, with an entire country. This extra year really allowed us to take the time to deliver on that high quality.

Also, Ubisoft has assured that the PC version of Assasin’s Creed Origins will not suffer like the past entries in the franchise. According to game director Ashraf Ismail, the studio is putting a lot of work in the PC version of the upcoming Assassin’s Creed.

Ubisoft has also revealed that the upcoming game will also feature multiple protagonists but, the studio has confirmed that other protagonists will be limited to specific missions and also confirmed that Assassin’s Creed Origins will not feature multiplayer.

Assassin’s Creed Origins is an upcoming action RPG in development at Ubisoft and is scheduled to launch on October 27, 2017, for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
