Breath of the Wild Patch 1.3.1 Fixes Trial of the Sword And Duplication Glitch

Nintendo has released a new update for Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild, addressing various issues including glitches in the Trial of the Sword mode. The Breath of the Wild patch 1.3.1 also adds a new News Channel to the game from which players can obtain in-game items. The channel will, however, be operational after a few days.

The full patch list for the Breath of the Wild patch 1.3.1 is given below:

We have fixed the issue in Pack 1: The Master Trials of the Expansion Pass, in which defeating certain enemies for Kilton was not counted toward completion when playing in Master Mode.

In-game items can now be obtained from launching the software from certain articles distributed through a new News channel (“The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – Tips from the Wild”) which can be accessed through News on the Home menu.

◦This channel is expected to open on 8/9/2017.

◦Depending on your game progress and location, certain items may not be obtainable.

Various fixes to improve gameplay.

While it isn’t mentioned in the patch notes, various users are also reporting that the new Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild also fixes the various glitches present in the Trial of the Sword mode. On top of that, players are reporting on Reddit that after the patch, the infinite item duplication glitch no longer works.

For those unclear, the item duplication glitch allowed players to get infinite amount of ancient parts, diamonds and korok seeds. However, it seems like the Breath of the Wild patch 1.3.1 has patched this glitch. Thankfully there are no consequences for those who exploited the glitch.

Zelda Breath of the Wild is currently available on both Nintedo Wii U and Switch. The company recently released the game’s first DLC pack, Master Trials. Even before additional content, Breath of the Wild was doing really well in terms of sale.
