The Life is Strange: Before The Storm graphics that we can expect to see when the game comes out won’t just be exclusive to the Playstation 4 Pro when the game comes out. The Xbox One X, Microsoft’s own answer to the Pro, will also be getting upscaled graphics for it.
Life is Strange: Before The Storm will focus on Chloe Price, Max Caulfield’s best friend who was left behind in the town of Arcadia Bay when Max moved away. We’ll be seeing the backstory between her and Rachel Amber, whose past with Chloe is alluded to multiple times in the game but never fully explained.
The unique visual style of Life Is Strange is likely playing a part in how the Life is Strange: Before The Storm graphics will look, as the original game came in a very painter-esque style that worked well with the various lighting changes and the game’s more artsy sort of style.
With the updated graphics for the Playstation 4 Pro and Xbox One X players, gamers that play the game will be able to get the game at the highest resolution possible, but that’s not going to be without its challenges, especially since the game is already going to be supported on the Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC as well.
While porting the game between all of those versions will likely be difficult, this means that developer Deck Nine Games will likely have more work on their hands than they would if they were just porting it between the normal versions of each platform.
If you have a Playstation 4 Pro or will be getting an Xbox One X, then you’ll be able to see the Life is Strange: Before The Storm graphics for yourself. The game will be releasing on August 31 for the Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC.
