Monolith Explains Why Internet Connection Is Required For Shadow Of War
Shadow Of War is one of the most anticipated games to launch later this year and fans are excited about the game. Just recently, Monolith Productions detailed the micro transactions in Shadow Of War, however, the community found it odd that the game requires an online connection given that Shadow Of War is a single-player game.
However, the studio was quick to clarify the purpose of online connection in Shadow Of War. Community manager MonolithJared clarified on the game’s Discord channel that the online connection for the Shadow Of War is only required for the game’s market/micro transactions.
He also clarified that micro transactions in Shadow Of War only exist to make building Talion’s army easy for the players who don’t want to spend a lot of time in the game doing activities. He also clarified that the game has been balanced without micro transactions in mind.
Also, BAFTA nominated, Garry Schyman, has confirmed that he is returning to compose music for the upcoming game. He revealed that he is excited to be working on the upcoming game and believes that his work will enhance the game’s experience.

Shadow of War is much more than a sequel, I believe it stands as a real achievement in game design and execution and will be talked about for decades. I also believe our score wonderfully enhances this project.
Also, players will not be able to replay failed missions in the upcoming sequel. If the player dies during the castle siege the time will move forward, player’s allies will be captured and the enemies will grow in strength.
Shadow Of War is an open-world action adventure game in development at Monolith Productions and is scheduled to launch on October 10, 2017, for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
