Naughty Dog is one of the most respected game developing studios in the game industries and fans are very excited for their upcoming title, Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. The studio has already noted that they don’t have any plans for Uncharted franchise following the release of The Lost Legacy but, according to Naughty Dog, they are full of ideas for games and worlds.
Speaking with Daily Star, game director at Naughty Dog, Shaun Escayg, noted that following The Last Of Us 2, Naughty Dog has no concrete plans for their next project. He added that it could be a direct follow up to Uncharted: The Lost Legacy or could be completely new. He added that the studio is currently a melting pot of new ideas.
We don’t know what the future holds, but you’re right, it could be something new. It could be another Uncharted, who knows. Naughty Dog is not afraid of exploring more stuff.
The entire studio is like that, everyone wants to try something new. There are so many new ideas, it’s the culture at Naughty Dog, we love ideas.
The studio right now is just teeming with new content and new ideas building up new worlds, new genres. it’s a constant melting pot of new ideas.
However, the Naughty Dog has noted that they are perfectly happy to move away from the Uncharted franchise unless they have a story that feels right.
In the future, if it looks like there’s something that really excites us, great, but we’re perfectly happy to step away from it.
Also, the studio recently revealed that Chloe and Nadine were not always the first choice for The Lost Legacy but they almost featured Sam and Sully.
Uncharted: The Lost Legacy is scheduled to launch on August 22, 2017, exclusively for PlayStation 4.
