The Asus Strix RX Vega 64 OC Edition has been highly anticipated and Asus tweeted about the GPU in order to create some hype for the upcoming graphics card. It will be interesting to see the added performance the Asus Strix RX Vega 64 OC Edition has to offer as compared to the reference design model.
The Asus Strix RX Vega 64 OC Edition will take up 2.5 slots and will be 25% thicker as compared to the 2 slot GPUs. The heatsink size has been increased by 40% for more heat dissipation that will allow the GPU to run cooler when under load.
Thanks to stealth mode, the GPU will not make any noise when you are doing light tasks like watching a movie or browsing the internet. The Asus Strix RX Vega 64 OC Edition comes with FanConnect II headers that will allow you to connect case fans directly to the GPU. This way the fans will respond to the GPU rather than the CPU.
The lighting is set to Red by default but with RGB functionality you can change that to any color or a combination of colors that you want. According to the official website:
We rise to the cooling challenge with a combination of brains and brawn that provides excellent performance when you need it and silence when you don’t. It all starts with MaxContact, an industry-leading heat spreader machined to tighter tolerances than conventional counterparts.
The Strix RX Vega 64 will have an additional HDMI 2.0 for VR. This will help users add a VR headset along with a display. The Strix RX Vega 64 is one of the first custom models that we know of so far. There will be more coming out soon and we will let you know about them later on.
