  • Common tier will cost 25 credits

The fairly popular Lúcioball mode will be a major highlight of the upcoming event. It will introduce Sydney as a new map, with the matches rotating between the Sydney and Rio stadiums.

This time around, Blizzard has made several changes to the hero’s abilities for the mode. The ability to “boop” enemies has been removed. Most importantly, Lúcio’s ultimate ability no longer pulls the ball toward the player but now increases his speed and the speed of his “boop.”

Lúcioball will also receive a second competitive mode in Overwatch, allowing players to earn ranks based on their skills. Since it is a timed event, the community will have less than two weeks to perfect their play and place an additional badge for the accompanying bragging rights.

The 2017 Summer Games will commence from August 8 and close out at the end of the month. Blizzard is yet to reveal what new skins are heading for the community in the coming days. Based on rumors, at least one will be character-specific to Doomfist.
