Xbox One X

Microsoft fully revealed that Xbox One X during its E3 2017 presentation and since then the console has been one of the most talked about things on the internet. While the console will be getting Forza 7 which will run at 4k/60FPS and many other titles but, the game lineup for the console is not that strong.

According to the industry analyst, Michael Goodman, while he liked the Microsoft’s press conference which focused more games rather than Xbox One X but, added that he didn’t see any blockbuster among the games showcased for Xbox One X and added that this happened for every E3 press conference.

I like the fact that their press conference was much more focused on the games than the hardware, but I didn’t find that great blockbuster. That’s the same thing about the Sony press conference as well. I was not overly impressed by the games shown by anybody. I really didn’t find any new stuff to get excited about. That thread followed through for all of E3.

Come to think of it, if we compare the game lineups of Xbox One and PlayStation 4 there is a clear difference between the two as PS4 has a strong game lineup and has already released Horizon Zero Dawn, Nioh, NieR Automata and more earlier this year.

On the other hand, Microsoft got Halo Wars 2 and a handful of other exclusive titles. However, Xbox head Phil Spencer has revealed that Microsoft has signed deals for Xbox One exclusives and there is no point of showing them now as they will come out after 2-3 years.

We are investing in new things, we signed things just recently that I thought, ‘Hey, from a PR standpoint it would be really easy for me to put a trailer on screen’, but then I know the game is not coming for another two and a half or three years, so I didn’t want to do that.

Do you think Microsoft will be able to offer a blockbuster lineup of games for Xbox One X? Let us know in the comments.
