Capcom seems to be quite interested in bringing its titles to Nintendo Switch especially after the success of Ultra Street Fighter 2 on Switch. With Capcom preparing to bring more of its titles to Nintendo Switch, the studio has announced Resident Evil Revelations and Resident Evil Revelations 2 for the hybrid console.
Capcom has confirmed that both Resident Evil Revelations and Resident Evil Revelations 2 will come to Nintendo Switch in late 2017. Aside from these two titles, Capcom has not yet revealed if any other of its titles will be coming to Switch.
Resident Evil Revelations originally launched on the 3DS but eventually, the game made its way to PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U, and PC and now it is scheduled to launch on PS4 and Xbox One on August 29, 2017. Capcom is yet to announce any specific release date for both titles on Switch.
Speaking of Resident Evil games, Resident Evil 7 is the latest entry in the franchise. While the game failed to meet the sales expectations of 4 million units shipped by the end of March 31, 2017, but, Capcom is still optimistic about the sales.
According to Capcom, Resident Evil 7 did not meet the sales expectations but it is not something that would cause panic as “lifecycle for games is growing longer” and expects the game to ship 10 million units in its lifetime.
Also, Resident Evil 7 Director Kōshi Nakanishi and Resident Evil: Revelations 2 Director Yasuhiro Anpo revealed that Capcom is working on an unannounced RE title.
Nakanishi added that while they can’t reveal anything right now but they are working on something related to Resident Evil.
Resident Evil 7 is a first-person horror survival game developed by Capcom for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The game also supports VR but it is exclusive to PSVR, however, Capcom has confirmed that it will only be timed exclusive for one year.
