Following the success of Ultra Street Fighter 2, Capcom is more than happy to bring its titles to Nintendo Switch. In fact, the studio has already announced a few titles for the hybrid console and Monster Hunter XX is one of them. Now, Capcom has announced the Monster Hunter XX demo for Switch.
THe Monster Hunter XX demo for Nintendo Switch will arrive on August 10, 2017, in Japan and like the demos for the previous entries in the franchise, this demo will also come in three difficulty quests. In the beginner level quest will have players face Great Maccao, the intermediate will have players face Barioth, and the tougher quests will feature the flagship monster Valphalk.
However, that is not all that Capcom has announced for Nintendo Switch as the studio has confirmed that Resident Evil Revelations and Revelations 2 will come to Switch in late 2017.
Resident Evil Revelations originally launched on the 3DS but eventually, the game made its way to PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U, and PC and now it is scheduled to launch on PS4 and Xbox One on August 29, 2017. Capcom is yet to announce any specific release date for both titles on Switch.
Capcom has another Monster Hunter project in development titled Monster Hunter World. Monster Hunter World will launch in 2018 for PC and current gen consoles and Capcom has explained why it chose PC and consoles over handhelds for the game.
According to producer Ryozo Tsujimoto, was the right time to bring the franchise to consoles as the current generation is dynamic and allows devs to showcase a much more dynamic world, realistic AI and more.
While the game will be taking advantage of the current generation of consoles but, Capcom has clarified that the gameplay will not be sacrificed to make it look pretty.
Monster Hunter XX is an action RPG developed by Capcom for Nintendo 3DS and will launch for Switch later this year.
