Destiny 2 is one of the most anticipated games and Bungie has been adding fuel to the hype train by revealing new details about the game. Bungie has confirmed that there will be no HDR support at launch for Destiny 2 and now devs have confirmed that the protagonist will remain silent throughout the game like Destiny.
Game director Luke Smith confirmed that Destiny 2 protagonist will remain mute for the entirety of the game during IGN First’s Q&A session. However, the fans are split over this decision some agree with Bungie for muting the Destiny 2 protagonist while other are against it.
In related news, One of the main issues with the first game was the lack of a proper narrative or answers relating to the Travelers existence. However, Bungie is aiming to change all that in Destiny 2. According to Bungie, they hope players will complain about how many stories they have baked into the game.
We’re learning from and listening to all the feedback we got on Destiny 1, and we’re applying it. I hope people complain about how much story we have. That’d be the Reddit thread I’d like to read. ‘Too much damn story [makes angry typing gesture].
Also, Destiny 2 beta just ended recently, which gave players access to a story mission, PvP, and Strike. However, according to Bungie, the beta was just an appetizer.
We’re always excited to see reactions to anything we create. Our fans respond with excitement and areas we can improve and we’re happy to hear it. The beta is an extremely small slice, intentionally so. We’re actually keeping a whole bunch of the game secret. We’re not really showing any of our awesome worlds.
Destiny 2 is a first-person action shooter in development at Bungie and is scheduled to launch this fall for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
